We had a really fun Halloween this year. Kaitlyn was Tinkerbell and Michael was Peter Pan. Steve made his costume--hat and all! We had a preschool Halloween party and all the kids dressed up and we played games, made spider-web plates and yarn spiders and of course had treats!
The day before Halloween we drove to the Church Office Building to see Steve at work. We had lunch in the cafeteria with him and my dad. On Fridays they have "guess the weight of your frozen yogurt" and if you're right it's free! Steve guessed .73 and it was .74!! Only 1 off! Then my dad guessed .91 and his weighed exactly the same as Steve's--.74! What are the chances? They also had free old fashioned cake donuts and apple juice in the cafeteria. After lunch we went upstairs and showed Steve's coworkers Michael and Kaitlyn's costumes. They even did some trick-or-treating around the office.
Our ward Halloween party was a dinner & trunk-or-treat. There were SO many kids there and they loved going from car to car to get candy.
On Halloween day we headed to Sandy to my parent's house. Grammy, Grampy, and Brooklyn came with us to Gardner Village to see the witches. The kids loved seeing all the life-size witches and getting their pictures taken with them. All the adults had fun taking pictures! Todd let me take his camera and I took 186 pictures--so much fun! I will post some of those soon.
For Halloween dinner we had Lion House chili, fingers (string cheese w/almonds), mummies (hot dogs wrapped in bread), and eyeballs (deviled eggs w/olives). Then we headed out to trick-or-treat. Michael was literally running from house to house. Kaitlyn and Brooklyn would say "Trick-or Treat" and Michael would say "Yeah". At the second house we knocked on, the owners opened the door and Michael just walked right in! Good thing we knew them! After a while Michael would go up to one of us adults as we were walking from house to house, hand someone his candy bag and then wait to be held. They had so much fun and got a lot of candy.
