A little longer...

Rogers Memorial Theater decided to extend "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" another 4 nights because every night is sold out for 5 weeks! Now the show will be running through July 23rd. The last week of the show Steve will be in it on Monday the 20th, Wed. 22nd, and Thurs. 23rd. And I will be ready to have him back home after that!!! It's been 15 weeks of him being gone almost every day! If anyone still wants to get tickets--call today 'cause I'm sure they'll be gone fast!

I took Kaitlyn to see the show again. She loves all the dancing and singing.

Kaitlyn's First Primary Talk

Last week week we got the notice that Kaitlyn would be giving her first talk in primary! The topic was on Repentance. We have this children's book about the teaching of Jesus that we sometimes read to Kaitlyn before she goes to bed. I haven't read it to her for a LONG time, but several months ago she had some of the stories memorized. We decided to have her tell about the the story of the lost sheep. So four days ago I started going through this little story with her. After we had read it 2 or 3 times she could totally say it by herself! She definitely has her dad's memorization skills.

Kaitlyn wanted her dad to help her give the talk. We were hoping she'd say it all by herself but I think the big primary crowd was a little intimidating. Steve just said the first word of each sentence and Kaitlyn did the rest. I took this video of her afterwards sharing her talk all by herself!

Father's Day 2009

Father's Day began with church meetings, then we headed out to my mom and dad's house. We enjoyed eating lunch together, followed by opening gifts and then playing ladder ball. Michael, Kaitlyn, and Brooklyn love playing together. Happy Father's Day Steve! You are a wonderful daddy!!

Isaachar & The Baker

I got to see Steve in JOSEPH at his dress rehearsal tonight! He did an awesome job with all the singing, dancing, and acting as Isaachar and The Baker. My mom came with me and we took Kaitlyn and Michael. They sat so good through the whole show. Michael was bobbin' his head up and down with the music and pointed at Steve throughout the whole show. He even clapped! At the very end of the show all the actors extend both of their arms and raise them up...I looked at Michael and he was doing the same with his arms!

The show was so much fun! Great Job Steve!!!

Girl's Camp

I had so much fun at Girl's Camp! I hadn't been since I was in YW, and I got called as the assistant camp director this year. It was a lot of work getting ready but with a lot of people working together we did it! We had a "BOOT CAMP" with the theme of "Who Will You Be?" Our Boot Camp was complete with dog tags, moving up in the ranks, face paint, camo, hiking boots, whistles, marshmallow guns and even boot camp workouts in the morning. We played capture the flag for quite a few hours because the girls loved it so much! We also had a really neat experience with our friend "Rose" who taught us all a lesson on how to treat others with kindness. The food was amazing (my pants are a little tighter as a result of eating too much), the weather turned out to be great and a real answer to prayer as it was supposed to rain the whole time, but we only saw a few minutes of rain each day. We slept in tents on grass around a cabin on Bear Lake. It was so beautiful and so nice. I hope I get to go again next year!
