Easter 2012

Steve and I were able to be part of our Stake's Easter Cantata sung by our stake choir.  The entire cantata--13 songs--was written by Amy Webb from our Stake.  It's all about the Savior and I really loved learning each new song.  We started practicing in January, and went to practices just about every Sunday night for an hour and a half.  Steve and I tried out for the duet, "Peace Be Still" and were able to sing it at the program Easter night.  You can listen to it here.  There were also displays in the back of the gym that people could look at after the program.  Steve had been working on a poem for a while, and finished it for this.  You can check it out below:

Although we ended up having cereal for breakfast, and cheese quesadillas for Easter dinner between church and ward/stake choir practices, it was a great experiences to sing these songs about Jesus Christ on Easter.

We also had a little Easter egg hunt with our kids after church, then some of our family came over after the Easter program for ice cream and brownies.
