Preschool Room

We had the Preschool open house tonight! There's still a few things I want to put up on the walls but it's pretty much finished! I got the train table, colorful rug, book case, preschool chairs, and the dividers that are also used as bulletin boards all off of ksl.com!!
I am going to have 8 little preschoolers in my class this year along with my own kiddos. My kids have loved finally having a place to play again. We've had pretty much all the toys stuffed into a closet for the last six months and now they have a place to run around and have fun!

Like Father, Like Son

Michael loves following his dad around, especially when his "dada" is working on a project using tools. Micheal will run to grab his own tools and start working alongside him. I hope Michael learns all these great skills from his handy daddy!

The Front Yard is Back!!

We got sod tonight!! Steve, Jesse, and Tommy did it in just a couple hours! Thanks guys!! I can't believe how awesome it looks--so green, so soft, and so much cleaner! Besides getting a few shrubs and the shutters that go on the outside of our top window, the outside of the house is pretty much complete!

Stairs are Done!!

A few months ago when the sheet rockers came to do our addition we had them take the texture off the walls in our stairwell. I was getting really frustrated with all the little hand prints on the walls going up the stairs when I couldn't really wash them off very wall because of the heavy orange peel texture. Oh, and don't worry...after the sheet rockers mud & sanded those walls 3 times and we had primed it they came back and said it wasn't looking great and had to do it all over again! (Just imagine how much dust this creates to mud & sand the ENTIRE wall 3 times). Pretty much, my house was a dust factory for a few months!
Since Steve is one of the handiest people on the planet, I knew that I could ask him to do a "project" on the stairs! He put up a wainscoting that looks like big squares. You would think that a stairwell would be straight, but quite the opposite in fact! It turned out to be a nightmare project since EVERY angle and length he had to cut was different!! We got our new carpet in and I got some ginormous pictures of my kids printed and I think it looks awesome now!!

Jon & Emilee's Wedding

My brother Jon & now sister-in-law Emilee got married today in the Salt Lake temple!! It was a great ceremony followed by a dinner, roasting, and dancing at the Hilton.

Little Ballerina

Kaitlyn started dance class at Clytie Adams! She had so much fun on her first day. Her favorite things she did were "making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich" with her feet (stretching) and dancing with ribbons. She is taking the class with her friend Ashlee.
