Highlights of our Family Reunion:
*Cousins Day
*Temple Night with all 7 siblings and their spouses and parents Sherry and Verlan (LeAnn...I need a picture!!)
*Kaitlyn learned how to swing by herself!!
*Michael LOVED riding the 4 wheelers and even got to ride on a motorcycle with his dad!
*Kaitlyn was a big fan of riding the golf cart with her older cousins.
*Steve went off the highest platform high dive at Lava Hot Springs--a 34 ft. jump!
*$1.00 ice cream cones after Lava Hot Springs
*Playing "Minute to Win It" games
*The girls getting their hair french braided (while looking for ticks)
*Shooting off rockets with grandpa.
*I'm not trying to brag here...but apparently I have a pretty good shot! I shot 24 bullets and they were all within about 5 inches. That was my 2nd time ever holding a gun. Maybe I should've been a hunter--although I look like a total dork!! :)
*I taught some of my nieces and nephews how to do "rock, paper, scissors" in Japanese: "Jankenpon Aikodesho"... "Acchi Muite Hoi"
*The teenagers had everyone do a "faith fall" --oh, and I mean all 45 people there did it!
*Watching my buff nephews in their pull-up contest
*Everyone was lovin' little Logan and he was lovin' them!
*Michael's best new buddy--his cousin Jordan!
*A Sunday church meeting with the family. All the smaller cousins sang together and it was beautiful!
*The BIG announcement from Verlan and Sherry that they will be leaving on a mission to the Cook Islands on August 1st!
We had SO much fun on our trip to Kanab. My parents rented the "Goodfellow House" which is about 10 miles out of Kanab. It had 5 bedrooms, two spiral staircases, and an awesome pool! We got to enjoy time with family playing games, karaoke, laughing, eating, and swimming. Lori & Todd and kids, Natalie, Jon & Emilee, Mike & Chloe, Paula, and my parents were all there. Saturday was the 24th of July and also my Grandpa Chamberlain's 80th birthday. We all rode in the Kanab parade to celebrate and sang him Happy Birthday! The parade is only 30 minutes long and even goes down Main Street and then turns around and goes back! The kids had fun throwing candy at the spectators. That night we had a birthday party/barbeque/swimming party for Grandpa and invited all the Chamberlains. We're hoping to make the Goodfellow house an annual event!!
