Cherry Hill

We enjoyed Memorial Day at Cherry Hill. It was only about 65 degrees, but the sun was shining and the water was really warm so we had a good time! There were only a few other families in the entire park, so that was really fun!! Michael & Kaitlyn both loved going down the little slide into Pirates Cove all by themselves.

After Cherry Hill (and a nap) we got an ice cream cone and went to the Castle Park.

The day was topped off with a good old-at home car wash in the driveway.

Memorial Day Weekend

Steve took Friday off of work and we headed to the zoo to start off our long weekend.

We had a little picnic on our way home. Then we let the kids take a quick nap while we packed up to head to the Woods cabin with Lisa & Casey. It was so nice up there. There were just our two kids and their two kids so it was pretty quiet. Kaitlyn and Makenna played really well together. We took some 4-wheeler rides, Steve taught Michael how to throw rocks into the water, and we just played games, watched movies, read books, and ate food.

The only thing was we forgot to bring any candy! Saturday night Steve and Casey headed down the mountain to get some at the store, but they didn't get far. There was a muddy spot in the road and Casey's truck sunk in it! You couldn't even see the front wheel at all it was so deep. They tried to dig it out but it didn't really help. Later that night Lisa's brother ended up coming with his truck and pulled Casey's truck home. Casey broke the axel on his truck. No candy for us!

Happy Mother's Day!

I am so excited about my mother's day gift! I was kind of hoping for a pedicure because I've never had one, but this is like a thousand times better! Steve got me tickets to go see WICKED in Arizona in July. I wish he could go with me but he has to be in his own musical that night so my sister Natalie and I are going to fly their and go with two of my aunts and 2 of my cousins!! Then we'll drive to another part of Arizona the next day with our aunt for our Dahl Family Reunion. I am seriously SOOOOOOO excited! Thanks so much honey! You're the best!

Ok, just a side note...Why are WICKED tickets in Arizona like a fourth of the price compared to going in Utah????

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

Steve is going to be in the musical JOSEPH at Rogers Memorial Theater in Centerville this summer. The play will start June 19th and runs every night (but Sundays) through July 18th. Steve is in the Monday, Wednesday, and Friday night shows...so if you want to go you should go see him on one of those nights! He's playing Issachar, one of the brothers of Joseph.

Joseph is such a fun musical and I think it will be really good because they've been practicing A LOT :) !! When I say a lot, I mean 2 months of practicing 3 hours every weekday night plus Saturday mornings! I can't wait to see the show in June! Steve's been having a lot of fun learning all the music and dancing. I'm excited to see him on the stage!!

We took Kaitlyn to see "The Wizard of Oz" at Rogers Memorial theater a couple months ago and she loved it! When Steve told her he was going to be in a play there she replied, "You're going to be a witch dad! Are you going to be Glinda?"

I let her watch the Donny Osmond JOSEPH movie the other day to show her which play Steve will be in and after watching it for about an hour she came to me and said, "I don't see dad on the movie!"

Kaitlyn's 1st Hair Cut

Kaitlyn had her first hair cut (yes, I know...she's 3 years old)! I did trim a tiny bit when she was about one, but that's all I've ever done so it REALLY needed something. Ever since I chopped my hair off she's been saying she wants to cut hers like mine. I think the shorter look is cute on her!

Preschool 2009-2010....HELP!

I know that probably most of you that read my blog already know that I'm teaching preschool again next year, but I'm in SERIOUS need of getting some more kids in my class! So I thought I'd ask for your help. If you know anyone that has a 3 yr. old that is thinking about doing preschool next year...will you pass on the word and tell them that I'm still accepting students for next year? Even if you know of someone that hasn't absolutely loved their preschool in the past and would like to try somewhere new...I think I'm pretty good (do you like how I'm putting plugs in for myself?).

If you've never been over to the preschool room where I teach and you or someone you know would like to come check it out, just give me a call! It's really cute and there are a TON of toys, books, games, dolls, dress-ups, jungle gym, cars, blocks....you name it we've probably got it!

Also, next year I'll be teaching on Monday and Wednesday mornings from 9:30-noon (a little later than this year 'cause I know it's sometimes hard for the little ones and their moms to get there by 9:00).

Anyway, sorry about all this rambling, but I thought I'd give it a try. I need a couple more kids in my class to be able to teach next year and I REALLY want to do it again! THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!!!

Little Chick-a-dee

Pennie brought out the baby chicks, ducks, and bunnies at preschool today (Kaitlyn went and knocked on her door to ask if we could see them). I was really suprised that Kaitlyn was so anxious to hold the chicks and ducks. She walked around with the little duck forever! I thought it was pretty darn cute!
