My first template!

I used a template to make a scrapbook page for the first time today. Okay, I'm not sure why I hadn't tried that before because it really makes it so simple!!! The page is really plain, and I need to add some things, but I feel so good that I finally made another page! All that time downloading freebies is finally going to start paying off!

"Spin and Play" Game for Kids

This is a game I made for my nieces that live in Georgia. I got the idea from a game that I had seen in a magazine, but never played. There are 60 action cards (10 of each pattern) that you can print out as 4x6 pictures. All you have to do is make a spinner or a dice with each of the 6 patterns. You spin the spinner (or roll a dice) and then whatever color/pattern it lands on you then do the corresponding card's action. It's fun for little kids, they just have to play with someone that can read. Anyway, this probably sounds really confusing, but if anyone wants to make it and has questions, give me a call! You can click on the link to find all the action cards, the instructions, and 6 blank cards to make a dice or spinner.

No Excuses--Just Do It!

I saw this Nike commercial today and thought I better put it on my blog so I can watch it whenever I feel like I don't want to work out. I thought it was quite appropriate for the first day of 2008! Yesterday Steve and I both signed up for the Ogden Winter Circuit Races. It starts on Feb. 16th and about every other week there is a race. It includes a 5K, 10K, 10 miler, 1/2 marathon, 30K. I'm planning to run the first four races and end with the 1/2 marathon in April. Good luck on those New Year's Resolutions everybody!

Kaitlyn's 2nd Birthday!!!

With Christmas just 3 days before her birthday, Kate was a pro at unwrapping presents. She was very careful to take off small sections of wrapping paper, and then crinkle and throw each piece before noticing what the gift was inside.

Christmas Eve Program

We spent Christmas Eve at the Dahls. We had a short program that we audio recorded to send to Mike & Jon on their missions. We spent the night at the house with my parents, Natalie, Lori, Todd, and Brooklyn.

We sang Christmas Songs...
Natalie played the piano...
We shared Christmas stories...
Mom & Dad sang a duet they had sung in church...
Grandma read a Christmas book...
